Boston Fleet game on December 7th against the Minnesota Frost at Agganis Arena at Boston University. The Fleet are the PWHL team for Boston. Alum, Lauren Lopez '22, is fundraising to run in the 2026 Boston Marathon for Team MGH. This is a great chance for Penn State alums in the area to cheer on women’s hockey, connect with fellow Nittany Lions, and support a meaningful cause. Here is the link to buy tickets, all proceeds for this game go to Lauren's fundraising efforts!

Boston area Penn State students, Kaitlin Schleicher (from Milton) and Lily Blank (from North Attleboro) are running as an Independent Dancer Couple in the THON™ 2026 lottery and are looking for some fundraising support!

Local Breweries

Want to try a brew. . .brewed by a Penn Stater? Massachusetts is home to countless breweries and these are owned and operated by Penn State alumni/families! Check out Hot Plate Brewing Co. in Pittsfield, Tackle Box Brewing Company in Marlborogh, and Greater Good Imperial Brewing Company in Worcester.

PSU Boston is also partnering with Roundhead Brewing Company in Hyde Park! Roundhead has brewed a craft beer called Blue Carnival with $1 from every pint sold being donated to Boston's Night of Hope! Stop in to their Hyde Park Taproom!

Alumni Spotlight

Lauren Lopez is a 2022 Penn State graduate with a B.S. in Global and International Studies. She will be running her first marathon, the 2026 Boston Marathon, as part of Team MGH to support pediatric cancer care and research at Massachusetts General Hospital.This cause is deeply personal to Lauren (and most of Penn State's alumni base!). Lauren participated in Mini-THONs at her high school and THON at Penn State.
