Local Breweries

Want to try a brew. . .brewed by a Penn Stater?  Massachusetts is home to countless breweries and these are owned and operated by Penn State alumni/families!  Check out Hot Plate Brewing Co. in Pittsfield, Tackle Box Brewing Company in Marlborogh, and Greater Good Imperial Brewing Company in Worcester.

PSU Boston is also partnering with Roundhead Brewing Company in Hyde Park!  Roundhead will be making a craft beer called Blue Carnival with $1 from every pint sold being donated to Boston's Night of Hope!  Roundhead is located in Hyde Park and will have Blue Carnival on tap at their traveling beer garden this summer!  Roundhead is inviting each Boston-based Big Ten Alumni Association for a special "First Friday" beer garden gathering in scenic neighborhood parks.  This Big Ten meet-up offers a chance for students and alumni to connect over local beer (hopefully LOTS of Blue Carnival!) at the following locations:
  1. South Boston - A Street Park (Jun 13)
  2. Back Bay - Copley Square Park (June 27)
  3. Roslindale - Adams Park (July 18)
  4. East Boston - LoPresti Waterfront Park (August 1)
  5. Jamaica Plain - Jamaica Pond (August 15)
  6. Mattapan - Hunt-Almont Park (September 5)
  7. Brighton - Brighton Common (September 19)
