3. Previous Minutes Approval
   • September 2009 - Minutes approved
4. Old business
   • Due to lack of quorem there was no vote on the bylaw changes
5. Officer Reports
   • President report
     • Strategic Plan will be discussed by exec at November meeting
     • Volunteer Recruitment has been strong with the programs committee filling out well. We can still use more people
     • A Google calendar is available for planning dates and future endeavors and will be made generally available. This differs from that on the website
     • Andy has chapter business cards if you need them
   • LionsROAR
     • Will be sending out an email in the next week or so about the upcoming work. September is when PSU started accepting students
   • Silent Auction
     • Began gaining items this past week
     • Discussion item from Andrea: find a method for online bids because we have such a limited selection
   • Treasurer
     • YTD - income looks different than budget actual. This is because in/out money is not on the budget.
     • THON brought in $420. Person who won the 50/50 donated their winnings back.
   • Membership
     • Strategy discussion a couple weeks ago among the committee
     • Focus: younger members. This is the quicker hit given the demographics. Within 2 years look into the older crowd and expand our events selection and offerings to get them interested
     • Soliciting from PSU a list of area members
     • Streamline TV tailgate membership table so materials are online, send out pre-tailgate newsletters
     • 2 recent grad events/yr, one in April and one in August
     • Meetings will be bimonthly
     • Andy checking whether benefits in website are stopped for expired members
     • Working on how to best communicate to expired members
     • Member Benefits - working on existing benefits and communicate them better. Also checking on Google discounts with PSAA
   • Programs
     • The following positions have been filled.
       • Business Networking - John
       • Social Events - Shari
       • Community Service - Erin
     • A newsletter is needed to advertise the booth auction and blood drive. These items are both available online.
     • Iowa will be hosting the next happy hour, but details have not been confirmed.
   • University Relations
     • Looking for a creative way to expand scholarship revenue. This is prime discussion at the next meeting
     • 27-Oct: Prospect Reception in Newton Marriott. 7:00pm. Looking for anyone to attend.
