Alert: football ticket scam

This message was passed along to us by the Football Letterman's Club

There has been someone claiming to be from Florida with tickets to Penn State games to sell.  He asks you to send him money via Western Union without any ID required for him to collect.  He does not send you tickets because he does not have any tickets to sell.

Several of our members have been contacted by this person or persons.  A few of them have sent the money.  Beware of this scam.  Do not fall for it.

If you have been scammed or even think you may have been contacted by someone saying he has tickets to sell that sounds too good to be true, please take the following step:

Notify the Miami Beach police dept at 305-673-7901. They do have a investigation unit that will look into this. The more information they have the better. They will ask that you fax all Western Union paperwork.
