The Penn State Graduate School Alumni Society (GSAS) is pleased to announce a new award, the GSAS Lifetime Achievement Award, to recognize the professional accomplishments of Penn State’s graduate alumni (masters or doctoral degree). The GSAS Lifetime Achievement Award honors graduate alumni of Penn State who have achieved exceptional success throughout the course of their profession and have demonstrated a lifetime of service and contributions to their community, as well as loyalty to the University and the Penn State Alumni Association.

The recipient of this award will be invited to attend the Graduate School’s Doctoral Alumni Reunion weekend events to be held March 26-28, 2010 on the Penn State University Park campus, and will be required to attend the annual GSAS Spring Social and Recognition Dinner on March 27, where he or she will be presented with the award.

We welcome all nominations, from individuals and organizations, now through October 1.

In addition to the nomination form, supporting documents that may illustrate the nominee’s achievements are greatly encouraged. If self-nominating, please remember to submit a minimum of two letters of reference from people who support the nomination. Nominations will be reviewed by a special committee within the Graduate School Alumni Society. All nominations will be held for a period of three years, should there be a request to reconsider a candidate.
