For more than a decade, the Greater Boston Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association has marked the beginning of spring by hosting a Social and Silent Auction to benefit the Freshman Scholarship Fund. The tradition continues this year on Friday, May 8th, at the Renaissance Boston Waterfront Hotel, 606 Congress Street, beginning at 6:00PM and running through 9:30PM. For those of you who arrive early, there is a lounge with wonderful views of the water and area. The Marriott is easily accessible by the Silver Line and valet parking as well as nearby parking lots are available. For transportartion details please click here. The speaker is still being finalized and will be announced as soon as confirmed. Hearty butlered hors d’ oeuvres will be served, a tasty pasta station, and there will be a cash bar. Last year, the chapter awarded $3000 in scholarships to three New England high school graduates who are now attending Penn State. Some of the many items in the auction will include those signed by local athletes, along with Red Sox tickets, gift certificates to local restaurants, and other non-Penn State surprises. Cash, checks and this year also credit cards will be accepted for auction bids. We encourage you to make your reservation early by clicking below to purchase tickets. 

Our deadline for online reservations is May 8th at noon, however we will accept walk-ins.
