On February 7, about 40 Penn State alumni and their friends gathered to support THON 2009. The event was sponsored by the PSU Boston Alumni Chapter and was held at the Greatest Bar in downtown Boston from 8 until 10pm. During that time, those who attended socialized and entered drawings for nearly a dozen raffle items which included an autographed Bruins hockey stick, stays at local hotels as well as jewelry and beauty products. Between the cover charge and the raffle, the event raised nearly 550 dollars in just 2 hours. Thanks to everyone who made it such a great event.
