TITLE

Newsletter Editor


JOB SUMMARY

The newsletter editor is responsible for information included in the regularly published newsletter sent out to the membership of the Chapter.

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

The Newsletter Editor Shall:

  • Coordinate the generation, publishing, and distribution of the chapter newsletters
  • Determine and communicate out deadlines for newsletter content to the Board
  • In conjunction with the Webmaster, provide content for the website articles communications
  • Have a subscription to various University mailings to aid in content of the newsletter
  • Coordinate the meeting to assemble the yearly newsletter communications to the PSU Alumni population in the greater Boston area 
  • Chair the public relations committee responsible for communication out to area media outlets and the Penn Stater Magazine.

OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Newsletter Editor shall perform other duties as assigned by the President and Board of Directors.
