TITLE
Vice President of Programs
JOB SUMMARY
The Vice President of Programs is responsible for offering social, cultural, and athletic programming and activities that will engage alumni of varied demographics for the enjoyment of Chapter members and to foster fellowship and Chapter recruitment.
DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
The Vice President of Programs shall:

Draft an annual calendar of programs, activities, and events to present to the Board by the second meeting of the fiscal year, and revise calendar as necessary throughout the year.

Be responsible for the implementation of the approved social calendar by means of the underlying chairpersons and committees including but not limited to the Social Chair, Big 10 Liaison, Community Service Chair, and volunteers.

Act as the main contact and coordinate the TV football tailgate parties.

Have a subscription to Boston event list servers to aid with event planning.

Assure the communication of event announcements to the Chapter through the listserv, website, Newsletter Editor, and Penn State Alumni Association events postings.

Report on current programs’ progress and future events at all Board of Directors meetings.

Prepare a post-event report for each program or at the end of a series of related programs to present to the Board of Directors at the following Board meeting.

Preside at all meetings in the absence of the President and Vice President of Membership.

Shall provide yearly input for the position and underlying committees for the yearly budget
OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Vice President of Programs shall perform other duties as assigned by the President and/or Board of Directors.
