Treasurer


JOB SUMMARY

The Treasurer is primarily responsible for the collection, disbursement, maintenance, and documentation of the Greater Boston Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association finances.

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

The Treasurer shall:

  • Serve as custodian of Chapter funds
  • Administrate fiscal matters of the Chapter
  • Present the yearly financial budget to the Board of Directors for approval
  • Ensures development and board review of financial policies and procedures
  • Have custody of all the funds of the Chapter
  • Keep a full and accurate account of receipts and expenditures
  • Make disbursements as authorized by the President, Board of Directors, or Chapter in accordance with the adopted yearly budget
  • Shall provide a written treasurer’s report to the Board of Directors on a regular basis at each scheduled meeting.
  • Shall provide an annual financial report to the Board of Directors and the Penn State Alumni Association.
  • Shall submit the financial records of the Chapter for audit at the direction of the President or Board of Directors.

OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Treasurer shall perform other duties as assigned by the President and/or Board of Directors.
